DESIGN
THIS PAGE SHOWCASES SOME OF TREKATECTURE'S OTHER DESIGNS THAT ARE UNIQUE ONE OF A KIND PROJECTS. THEY RANGE FROM SIMPLE OBJECTS TO LARGE SCALE OR HIGHLY BESPOKE CONCEPTS. THE DESIGNS SHOWN HERE ARE A SAMPLE OF THE NEARLY UNLIMITIED DESIGN POSSIBILITIES A MIND CAN CREATE. PLEASE ENJOY THESE PROJECTS AS THEY BRING US AT TREKATECTURE MUCH JOY TOO.

BALLPARK COFFEE TABLE
This is the evolution of my architecture program’s thesis project. My concept was to redevelop the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. As part of that project I designed a ballpark large enough that could hold special events and special games. Attached to the ballpark is a hotel where you can view the game from your room. Many of the architectural elements are derived from classic ballparks such as Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, the Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium, with a modern twist. Since graduating I have converted this part of the model into my living room’s coffee table as the centerpiece to the space.

ENGAGEMENT/WEDDING RINGS
My wife's engagement and wedding band set. Both rings are platinum. The wedding band sits inside the engagement ring completing the design. Center stone is an Emerald, flanked by salt and pepper diamonds. The wedding band has a combination of stones composing of moissanite, grey spinel and green tourmaline. The pattern when read as morse code says "I Love You." If you look very closely under the diamonds of the engagement ring you will see four small sphinxing cats supporting the stones!
This was a collaborative project with Kris from Kris Averi. I cannot speak enough of her skill, talent, design ability and professionalism. I have teamed up with Kris with many projects now. If you are looking for custom jewelry this is the place to go. Highly Recommended. The link below will bring you to her website.

WEDDING GIFTS
This wood pop art model was a wedding gift to one of my closest and longtime friends and her husband. This was based on a photograph that was taken during their wedding reception. I was able to re-draw it and turn it into the model you see here. In fact the techniques used here become the genesis of the drawing and building style that would end up creating most of the models in the shop. I wont lie, nearly got punched in the face by her for making such a nice gift!

MYST ARCHITECTURAL GUILD MEDALLION
I created this as a gift to myself for passing all seven of my architecture license exams. They are based the art style of the Myst computer game series. As the lore of the civilization within the game is all about world building it seemed appropriate inspriation to create this piece. Cast from brass, each face and edge of this seven sided medallion tells a different piece of my journey to become a Licensed Architect. The reverse of the medallion has semi-precious stones include the large custom quartz stone in the center. Some of those details include my license number, exam passing dates, my name, pass/fail rates, a city skyline and calling out the "Guild of Architects" within the D'ni Civilization.
This is another collaborative project with Kris Averi. Yet another demonstration of Kris's skills!

FAN ART
This was designed for a local singer/actor as my way of thanking her for sharing her talent with the rest of the world. Her name is Robyn Adele Anderson. You might know her as one of the original singers from Post Modern Jukebox. The pop art wood model designed to emulate a YouTube video playing on a smartphone. The image itself is based on a multitude of Robyn’s videos where she performs current day Top 20 hits in jazzy and other retro musical styles. Her band plays along with her. This model tested the limits of the laser cutter with its fine details and small parts, like the bottles in the background! Please check her out, give her a like, follow and subscribe! Link below!

CAMP MAP
Dabbling also in graphic design this is the latest version of a diagrammatic map of the campgrounds I used to work for. This started out as my Eagle Scout project in 2006 and continued to be a passion project throughout the rest of my life. The latest version here updates the recent redevelopment of the upper half of the grounds. Everything on the map is drawn to scale using traditional surveying techniques. The color coding of the buildings match their real life paint schemes for easy orientation. This map has helped both new campers and counselors get their bearings and become one with the land.

TREK SCOUTS PENDANT
This necklace pendant is cast of silver, gold plated with a tumbled and slight antique finish. It is a combination of the Trek Communication Badge from the DS9/VOY era and an Art Deco reimagining of the Boy Scouts fleur-de-lis and eagle. The reverse has a silhouette of the Enterprise, my initials, and the 1701 number. This has been my personal symbol since High School. When I turned 30 I wanted to make something special for myself. This is what came out of that wish. You might see another version of this pendant as a lapel pin I wear on my cosplays at conventions.
With the help of Kris Averi this project came true. This was our first collaboration together.

MINITURE HOUSE MODELS
An example of an alternate way of understanding what your new home will look like. Instead of paying for a fancy colorful rendering of what your house would look like from one angle, these miniature 3d printed houses gives you a full understanding of the shape and look of the house will be on its site. It is also a physical object that you can pick up and look at from all different angles. While it is only a simple white model, this way of viewing a project gives a tangible real feel of what the architecture is going to be at completion. These models are 3d printed using PLA plastic and are roughly 1'-0" = 20' to scale. A little bigger than the size of your hand. Makes a great coffee table object once your renovation or build is complete!

REDEEM THE RESISTANCE CARD GAME
David V. Mammina is phenomenal author and a great friend. He writes dark fantasy novels. One Friday night he asked me to play a prototype game he was working on based on his book series. It was a lot of fun. When asked to critique the game I felt the cards could use an overhaul to make the game more streamlined. He asked if I could mock up an example when I had the time, instead I rebuilt the entire deck by Sunday afternoon. David loved where it was going and we kept on refining the design until all the rules and functions of the game could be understood at a glance by looking at the elements of the cards. David provided the art and deck breathed new life! The game, Redeem the Resistance, is available out now to purchase and play! OFFICE LOGOS
This is a model of my office's logo. One holiday party I thought it was a fun gift for everyone in the firm. A few years later these models are still our desks. These models doubled as Christmas tree ornaments too. These little wood models made a very cool 3d effect to a logo that has been around for over 35 years for the first time.

GALILEO "268"
Way back when I was still in Boy Scouts, as a scout, for a space themed camping trip we were tasked with designing and building a vehicle that can act a sled, hold one person, have a weapon, and be able to travel over both snow and road. This is where the Galileo '268' was born. Built from 2x4s, we had developed a self propelling and turning system for the rider using bicycle parts, a tennis ball launcher built like a pinball plunger out of a broom handle and PVC pipe and PVC pipe for our snow ski system which doubled as stability pontoons when traveling on the road. Along with my closest friends who were in the troop with me we built this vessel. While it did not survive the entire camping trip (thats a whole other story) it preformed phenomenally. We won first place in design, first place in target practice, first place in the relay race, and second place in cargo storage. To this day my buddies and I regale stories of the unbeatable Galileo.

THE PUZZLE BOX
Where all my artwork began. This my first project where I used CAD and laser cutting to make art pieces. This little puzzle box was used a fun way to give jewelry gifts for friends. Within the box were elements that when flipped, rotated, slid and pulled would reveal the gift at the bottom of the box. Within the box there were six small and easy levels to solve. It made for a fun experience for the receiver. When fully closed the box looks like a simple wooden jewelry box.
